Helpful Info for Our Guests

Thank you for thinking about worshiping with us at Covenant Life Church. We desire for your experience as our guest to be warm, inviting and, most importantly, point you to Jesus. Here are a few things it may be helpful to know before you come.

We offer two worship services; one at 9:00am and the other at 11:15am. Immediately following the first service, coffee and donuts in the lobby offer an opportunity to catch up with each other, followed by our Christian Education classes at 10:15am.

Our services aren't strictly structured. There is nothing you need to know or remember. We encourage people to bring their own Bible, but if you don't have one, use the Bible underneath a nearby chair. In fact, if you do not have your own Bible already, take that one home as our gift to you.

Connection Card

When you arrive, you will receive a bulletin. Inside that bulletin is our Connection Card. That is our opportunity to find out that you were our guest. Please fill it out and either place it in the offering bag or drop it off at the welcome desk after the service. While you are at the welcome desk, please pick up our gift to you simply to say "Thanks for being our guest."

Midway through each service, we dismiss children to go upstairs for Children's Worship, a special time of music and teaching just for kids in PreK4 - 2nd grade. Between the services, we offer Christian Education classes for kids of all ages. Our goal both in the classes and in Children's Worship is to teach kids the whole story of the Bible, with each lesson specifically pointing to Jesus as the hero of the story. Nursery is available throughout the whole morning for our littlest kids from birth through age 3. There is also a Family Worship Room for nursing mothers and crying infants. For more information please go to our Children's Ministry page.

Our two services are very different yet share one important element: inviting you to experience the presence of God in worship and challenging you to grow in the grace of God. We refer to our first service as "Modern Worship" and is marked by a variety of musicians from a simple keyboard and guitar to a full rock band. The songs we use vary from traditional hymns set to current music to more modern worship songs. The second service, our "Classic Service" features more traditional elements including the organ, choir, creeds and hymns. We have a video projector and large screens, onto which the song words are projected, so you should have no difficulty keeping up. Our congregation has a wide range of musical ability - so if you can’t sing or don’t know the tune, you won’t be the only one…

Our messages (or sermons) are designed to point you to Jesus as the power of God for changed lives. We tend to run a series of sermons across several weeks, usually steadily moving through individual books of the Bible. If you happen to come in in the middle, and want to catch up on what you missed, simply download a sermon online for free. All of our teaching is rooted in the Bible. We primarily use the ESV (English Standard Version). If you don't have a Bible, feel free to use the Bible in the seat in front of you; or - share!

The Lord's Supper

We celebrate The Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of the month, and on special occasions. During the Lord's Supper, we serve both wine and white grape juice. The Lord's Supper is a special celebration reserved for those who have trusted in Christ for salvation and have been baptized. If this does not describe you, we would kindly ask that you let the bread and the cup pass and use the opportunity for personal meditation instead. It may be the perfect time for you to take that step of faith!

We take up an offering in every service. Our church is not centrally funded and the finances are the responsibility of church members. If you do not wish to contribute, just let the basket pass by. Many members arrange their giving via electronic funds transfer, so a significant proportion of the congregation will not be putting anything in the basket.

Disabled Facilities

The Church has handicapped parking in the front row, and has wheelchair access. Please, if you need any assistance, ask an usher.
