But since you excel in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you - see that you also excel in this grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7).

The Scriptures call us to “excel in the grace of giving.” Just as Christ excelled in the grace of giving as he sacrified his own life for you, you also have the opportunity to excel in the grace of giving, help the church meet its financial goals, receive tax benefits from your gifted assets and, most importantly, demonstrate that you have placed all your treasures at the feet of Christ.

Various methods of funding your gift include:

Gifts of Cash

The easiest and most straightforward way to give is gifts of cash. There are ways to give cash:

  • Give online (one time or recurring)
  • Put a check* or cash** in the weekly offering
  • Mail a check* (either personally or directly from your bank) to:
    Covenant Life Church
    Attn: Finance Dept
    8490 McIntosh Rd
    Sarasota, FL 34238

*Checks should be made out to Covenant Life Church
**Cash gifts must be placed in an envelope with the giver's name in order to receive a statement of giving for tax purposes.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities or Real Estate

Giving appreciated stocks or bonds or real estated (such as a vacation home, acreage or a farm), in addition to being a great gift to the church, can offer tremendous tax advantages. To arrange a gift of securities, request our brokerage account information or for more questions, please contact Executive Pastor Steve Jeantet.

Gifts of Life Insurance, Charitable Remainder Trusts and Bequests

In addition to gifts of cash or securities, please consider long-term giving options. We invite you to consider naming Covenant Life Church in your will, opening a term life insurance policy with the church as the named beneficiary or establishing a charitable remainder trust to benefit the church. If considering planned giving (charitable remainder trusts, bequests, endowments, etc.), please consider the services of the PCA Foundation. They exist to assist you in your giving. To initiate a planned gift or for more questions, please contact Executive Pastor Steve Jeantet.
